Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Preux collects through this website, why we process it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Last updated: June 2026

01

Who we are

Preux is a trading name of MRH Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 09939697, trading office 64 Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7JF). In this policy “Preux”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website. Reach us about anything here at hello [at] preux.co.uk.

02

The data we collect

  • Enquiry details you give us. When you use our contact form or email us, we process the information you choose to send — typically your name, work email, company, and the description of your project or question.
  • Technical and usage data. Our hosting and security providers automatically record standard server information such as IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and timestamps, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • Cookie and analytics data. With your consent, we may use privacy-light analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. See “Cookies” below.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data through this site. Please don’t include sensitive personal information in an enquiry.

03

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to and manage your enquiry — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in answering people who contact us, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe, reliable site.
  • To measure site usage — lawful basis: your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time through the cookie notice.

We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling, and we will not add you to a marketing list without asking.

04

Cookies

Essential cookies and similar storage are used only to make the site work and to remember your cookie choice. Any non-essential cookies (for example, aggregate analytics) are set only after you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which brings the notice back.

05

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — for example website hosting and content delivery, email, and analytics. They may only use the data to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where required by law. We never sell or rent your data to third parties.

06

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum — so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.

07

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, then delete or anonymise it. Server logs are retained briefly for security and then rotated. Where we rely on consent, we stop processing as soon as you withdraw it.

08

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected, or incomplete data completed;
  • ask us to erase your data, or to restrict or object to our processing;
  • ask for your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email hello [at] preux.co.uk; we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data you can complain to the UK’s regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk — though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

09

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to deal promptly with any incident.

10

Changes & contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows when it last changed, and material changes will be reflected here before they take effect. Questions, requests, or concerns: write to hello [at] preux.co.uk.
